Summer fun.

I am feeling great and enjoying the lazy days of summer. I love sleeping in and the freedom of not having a schedule. One of the things that has really been working well for us this summer are these:

They are a "bug World" and a "Fairy Garden" you can guess which one belongs to which kid.

Emma went to a Tinkerbell birthday party where they made little fairy gardens. She was so excited about it. Unfortunately Aiden was excited about it too. He tore it apart to make a 'bug world'. So, to keep the peace, we went to walmart and got a few supplies. This is what we came up with.

This is Aiden's "Bug World" All bugs are welcome -- except wasps. He's a little prejudice.

This is Emma's Fairy World.
These simple little planters have really kept the kids busy! Emma checks several times a day to see if a fairy has come to visit. And Aiden spends nearly all his time catching bugs to put in his world. They've become a popular attraction for the other neighbor kids too.
