Soggy.

This is the new home of my computer and art room - for now.

This is where it used to be.

We have three sump pumps in our yard but after three days of non-stop rain, followed by a day or so of snow and a quick thaw a wet spot appeared in the middle of the room, not the edges- we believe it must be caused by a low spot in the floor, and perhaps a high water table. (?) I am infinitely grateful to my in-laws for loaning us their carpet cleaner to suck up the moisture in the carpet. We went to home depot this morning to explore our options. Thanks again to my father in law- he is going to help us level out the floor, and put in tile. yahoo!

In the meantime, my computer/ art room has doubled in size and there's no more play room to clean up! a win - win situation if you ask me.
