There is a great big pumpkin patch in Farmington. We go there every year. They have little carts that you can pull around through the patch to go pick your own pumpkin, but there's so much more! There's a hay maze for kids, a corn maze for kids, lots of set-ups for picture taking including a scarecrow house, and painted wooden cut outs to stick your face in. They even have a spook alley for little kids (just glow in the dark stuff) it makes them feel so BRAVE...it's so cute. a talking dummy dressed like an old mountain man, and on monday nights they have pony rides. The best part is that it's all FREE. Except for the pumpkins of course which are 22 cents a pound.
Last night, kind of a last minute thing, we ended up going. The kids had so much fun! When we first got there, we ran into my good friend Liz from highschool. She and two of her sisters brought their kids all the way up from Murray! It was fun to see her. I don't see her often enough. We met Grandma and Grandpa Fitch there and we also had two families who are friends of ours here in Roy come with us. There are all sorts of Pumpkin Patches with fun mazes and stuff around Roy here, but they all charge $$$ just to get in! ridiculous! So they came with us and everyone had a BLAST. The kids especially loved chasing each other through the hay maze. I helped Emma to walk through it and she giggled the whole way. She got pretty worn out too. After that, we let her ride in the cart. Halloween is such a fun time of year. Our next adventure will be pumpkin carving. stay tuned.....I think we'll do that Monday night.
